The Embassy of Italy in Addis Ababa is Italy’s official diplomatic mission in Ethiopia. Located at the historic Villa Italia in the Kebenà area, the embassy manages diplomatic relations between Italy and Ethiopia and provides consular and visa services. Its Consular Chancery assists Italian citizens with passports, civil-status matters, documentation, and other consular needs, while its Visa Office handles applications for travel to Italy and relevant Schengen visas.
The embassy also supports Italian-Ethiopian cooperation in political, economic, commercial, cultural, educational, and development fields. Italy’s diplomatic mission in Addis Ababa also has secondary accreditation to Djibouti and South Sudan and maintains relations with IGAD. Visa and consular services generally require appointments.
