The Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Ethiopia is Egypt’s official diplomatic mission in Addis Ababa and also serves as Egypt’s Permanent Mission to the African Union. The embassy works to strengthen Egypt–Ethiopia relations and promotes cooperation in political, economic, cultural, educational, and regional affairs.
Its consular services support Egyptian citizens living in or visiting Ethiopia and include passport and travel-document assistance, document legalization, and other consular matters. The mission also provides information and assistance concerning Egyptian visas for eligible travelers. The embassy works with the African Union and other international and regional organizations headquartered in Addis Ababa, reflecting Egypt’s broader engagement across Africa.
