The Embassy of France in Ethiopia is France’s official diplomatic mission in Addis Ababa and is also competent for South Sudan. It manages French-Ethiopian diplomatic relations and provides consular services to French citizens and other eligible applicants.
The embassy’s consular section handles matters such as passports, citizenship, civil-status documentation, emergency assistance, and other administrative services.
It also provides information and services related to French and Schengen visas for travelers intending to visit France and other applicable destinations. Beyond consular affairs, the embassy supports political, economic, cultural, educational, scientific, and development cooperation between France and Ethiopia. France also maintains close institutional links with the African Union through its delegation in Addis Ababa
